Managing cookies in your web browser

Most web browsers offer options to manage how cookies are handled while you browse the internet, including the ability to clear cookies and browsing data. Additionally, some browsers allow you to customize cookie settings for individual websites. For instance, Google Chrome provides settings accessible at chrome://settings/cookies, where you can delete existing cookies, allow or block all cookies, and specify cookie preferences for specific websites. Google Chrome’s Incognito mode is also available, which automatically deletes browsing history and clears cookies from Incognito windows upon closing.

Similarly, many mobile devices and applications offer controls to manage similar technologies, such as unique identifiers used for app or device identification. For example, on Android devices, you can manage the Advertising ID, while Apple’s Advertising Identifier can be controlled in your device’s settings. Additionally, app-specific identifiers can often be managed within the settings of individual apps. These options empower users to tailor their privacy preferences and control how their data is utilized across various platforms and applications.
